COPELABS Researchers Win Best Paper Award at DoCEIS 2025
The paper “Deep Learning Models for GNSS-denied Target Navigation”, authored by Ricardo Serras Santos, Sérgio D. Correira, Slavisa Tomic, and Marko Beko—researchers affiliated with COPELABS—has been awarded the Best Paper Award at the 16th Doctoral Conference on Computing, Electrical and Industrial Systems (DoCEIS 2025).
The conference took place in Portugal from 2 to 4 July 2025, bringing together leading doctoral researchers and academics in the fields of computing, electrical engineering, and industrial systems. The award recognizes the paper’s innovative approach to target navigation in environments where Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) are unavailable, leveraging deep learning models to address the challenge.
This achievement highlights COPELABS' ongoing commitment to cutting-edge research in cyber-physical and intelligent systems, as well as autonomous navigation solutions.
Great news! European project proposal ANTIDOTE has been accepted for funding
ANTIDOTE, a COPELABS project led by Principal Investigator Marko Beko, has been approved for funding by the Horizon Europe programme under the call HORIZON-MSCA-2023-SE-01.
The project AI Attack and Defense for the Smart Healthcare, or simply ANTIDOTE, has the primary objective of creating a sustainable European and inter-sectoral network of organizations working on a joint research programme in the interdisciplinary fields of Healthcare, AI and Cybersecurity.
