Daniel Fernandes

Daniel Fernandes completed his PhD in Information Sciences and Technologies in 2021 at ISCTE - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, and his Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Telecommunications and Computer Engineering (2017 and 2015, respectively) also at ISCTE - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa. He also has a postgraduate degree in Management and Direction in Civil Protection from Universidade Lusófona - Centro Universitário Lisboa.
He is an assistant professor at Universidade Lusófona - Centro Universitário Lisboa and a researcher at the Association for Research and Development in People-Centered Cognition and Computing (COPELABS). He has published 7 articles in specialized journals, several in international conferences and has received 7 merit awards throughout his academic career. He has participated as a researcher in 1 research project - OptiNET-5G (Platform for Planning and Optimizing Heterogeneous 5G Networks in a Cloud Environment). He has also been a volunteer at the Portuguese Red Cross since 2013.
