Sílvia Maria Dias Pedro Rebouças

Sílvia Maria Dias Pedro Rebouças is an Associate Professor and the Director of the Degree in Data Science at ISMAT. She holds a PostDoctorate in Quantitative Methods Applied to Economics and Management (2017) from the University of Algarve, a PhD in Statistics and Operational Research (2011) from the University of Lisbon, a Master in Business Management (2007) from the University of Algarve, and a Degree in Applied Mathematics and Computing (2001) from Instituto Superior Técnico.
With over 20 years of academic experience in Portugal and Brazil, she was previously an Adjunct Professor and the Director of the Undergraduate Program in Business Administration at the Federal University of Ceará. She has supervised three PhD theses and ten master’s dissertations and has published more than 50 scientific papers. She actively participates in research projects and collaborations in Portugal and Brazil, applying Data Science and Artificial Intelligence in fields such as management, tourism, and sustainability, leveraging multivariate analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning to identify patterns, optimize decision-making, and develop data-driven solutions.
