João Canto graduated in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2004 from the Instituto Superior Técnico of the University of Lisbon. He also obtained a Master's degree (MSc) in 2006 and a PhD in 2011, both in Electrical and Computer Engineering, from the Instituto Superior Técnico of the University of Lisbon. He has been a full member of the Order of Engineers since 2011. He is currently an Associate Professor at Universidade Lusófona (where he has been teaching since 2009), and a researcher at the Copelabs unit of the same university since 2012. He was a member of the jury for the final exams of 4 PhD theses and 5 Master's exams. He has published 5 articles in international journals, with scientific arbitration, and 27 papers in international conferences with scientific arbitration. He has been a team member on 4 research projects. He works in the area(s) of Engineering Sciences and Technologies with an emphasis on Electrical, Electronic and Computer Engineering.
