Three COPELABS researchers have been ranked among the most influential researchers in the world according to a database created by Journal Plos Biology. The study carried out at Stanford University, in the USA, is published every year and assesses researchers in two different perspectives: one assessing scientists for career-long citation impact and another assessing scientists for single-year impact up until the end of 2020.
The list of most influential researchers in 2022 includes Slavisa Tomic, Dushantha Nalin K. Jayakody, and Marko Beko. The database lists the 100,000 most influential scientists in the world, according to the composite citation index and other criteria. In addition, the list also includes scientists who are not in the top 100,000 according to the composite index but are nevertheless within the top 2% of scientists of their main subfield discipline.
