Ana Loureiro is an Assistant Professor at Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias and a researcher at COPELabs.

She holds a PhD in Social and Environmental Psychology by ISCTE-IUL (2011), with a thesis about energy consumption in organizational context. Her academic degrees also includes a MsC in Psychology and Environmental Education by ISPA (1999), with a dissertation about sustainable tourism in Natural Park of Montesinho, and a degree in Psycholgy – Social Psycholgy  by the Faculty on Psycholgy at Lisbon University (1990). During PhD she was a Grant holder (FCT) and a visitor student at Universidad Complutense de Madrid and Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.

Her research interests are the study of cognitive processes about how people perceive natural and urban environments, how social values motivate individuals, and how these processes and interactions between them predict wellbeing and behaviours that may impact on environments. She has published and participated in national and International conferences on these research areas.

Before, she worked for several years on human resources area, in training, recruitment and selection, and organizational development in private and public, as well as industrial and services companies.
