ULOOP has been selected out of 260 projects to be exhibited in ICT2013, in Vilnius, on 6 to 8th November 2013.
The ULOOP exhibit comprises several technological demos based upon open-source software that has been developed as proof-of-concept for OpenWRT, as well as for end-user devices. The exhibit shall also explain how third parties can use the software to further develop user-centric services in the context of wireless networks.
ULOOP technology is open-source and has been demonstrated to be valuable from an industry perspective, being some innovative aspects protected by European IPRs. Both industry and academic partners are already exploring the developed technology be it in terms of providing new concepts, as well as in terms of developing spin-offs derived from ULOOP results. This exhibit shall also provide information on the status of ULOOP spin-off projects.
The use of user-friendly, user-centric wireless technology developed to equipment that is common in today's wireless infrastructures gives a good vantage point for Europe in terms of new types of networking architectures; of advanced Internet design, as well as in terms of the interaction between social media and the Internet.
