José Rogado is a Senior Researcher at COPELABS, SITI, and an Associate Professor at ULHT where he heads the Informatics Department. He holds a Ph.D.in Computer Engineering by Universidade Técnica de Lisboa(UTL), BEng from IST in Electronic Engineering.

He was  an Invited Researcher at INRIA in the area of Operating Systems development and File System performance optimization.
