Maestroo - an Immersive Sensing Tool (2011)

Maeestroo is a cooperative sensing middleware which can seamlessly collect information from the most varied sensors of a device, to an open platform, being the transmission open and based on IP. Maestroo has been developed in the context of the CitySense project.

Maestroo main features are:

Flexible configuration of network access for data collection
Virtual sensors - sensors "borrowed from other devices"
Automatic detection of sensors available
User-friendly selection of sensors for data gathering
Visualizer - capability to provide state collected on a specific visualizing tool

Environment

Maestroo is available for the Android platform, as well as for Windows phones.

The Team

Maestroo is middleware developed in the context of the CitySense project, by SITI/COPELABS, Universidade Lusófona.

The core team of Maestroo is composed by:

Ricardo Barbosa, MSc student at Universidade Lusófona/SITILabs and main responsible for the implementation of Maestroo.
Bruno Batista, supervisor (SITILabs researcher and PhD student at MAP-i Doctoral Programme)
Paulo Mendes, supervisor and CitySense scientific coordinator (SITILabs Scientific Director for Innovation)
