MTracker - a Mobility Tracking Application

MTracker is an academic application which tracks properties of a user's roaming behavior, and estimates a potential move based on the user's regular pattern of roaming*.

MTracker infers data from Wi-Fi usage of the user, and keeps track of features such as visited gateways; average visit time; attractiveness of an Wi-Fi hotspot (based on the ULOOP project notion of circle of trust).

MTracker main features are:

  • Flexible and modular, open-source tool which can be easily extended to accomodate other parameters of a roaming behavior.
  • Passively collects anonymous information concerning visits a user does on Wi-Fi hotspots.

MTtracker has been developed in Java for Android and is also available in C#, upon request.
